Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Planner at AVT Simulation. The Planner will be responsible for optimizing production processes, overseeing the flow of materials, and ensuring timely delivery of products of complex aircraft simulators. The Planner will work closely with various departments, including engineering, procurement, production, and quality assurance, to ensure that manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position demands strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while adhering to stringent deadlines.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Assist with the development of and maintain production schedules to meet internal customer demands and production targets
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials
- Monitor production progress and make adjustments as necessary to stay on schedule
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance to resolve production issues
- Prepare weekly and monthly production reports across several concurrent projects
- Facilitate communication between engineering, procurement, and production teams
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss production goals and strategies

Minimum Requirements
- This position does not require a specific degree; relevant skills and equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in manufacturing planning or production scheduling
- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and production planning software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes and workflows
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong computer skills and experience with standard office software
- To work at this facility, you must be a US citizen
- Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint ERP/MRP system
- Experience in aerospace, flight simulation, or similar industry
