AVT Simulation is a recognized leader in the field of simulation and training solutions, specializing in end‐to‐end systems integration. Seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Early Career Salesperson to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in driving our sales efforts and supporting our growth initiatives. The salary for this position is competitive and falls within the range of $50,000 to $60,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
 
  • Identify and prospect potential customers for  our manufacturing and production facilities.
  • Understand our manufacturing and production capabilities and apply this knowledge to find opportunities.
  • Develop strong customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to meet Annual Operating Plan goals.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations.
  •  Coordinate, prepare and deliver sales proposals.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities. 
     Knowledge of government contracting is a plus.
  • Attend industry events and conferences.
  • Assist with customer installations.
  • Assist with warehouse activities including system integration.
  • Up to 30 percent travel will be required to meet with clients and attend trade shows. 
  • Ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of production processes such as routing and travelers.
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience is a plus. 
  • Prior military maintenance experience (especially in maintenance) is a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma with manufacturing related certifications and/or college degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and/or manufacturing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of the defense and simulation industry is a plus.
  • Understanding of ISO, CMMI, 6‐Sigma, Kanban, or Lean is a plus.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and perform other manufacturing tasks.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • US citizenship required due to the nature of our work.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for projects.
  • Willing to travel up to a full month at a time.

.Essential Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach
with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs of sales/marketing materials for transport. The employee is occasionally required to assist with the transport and assembly of a tradeshow booth and items.
